Janet Skates is a self-taught abstract artist currently residing in Tulsa, Oklahoma. A color passionista, she is inspired by music and nature. As an intuitive painter Janet rarely begins with a clearly defined picture of a completed work; rather, she practices creative expression, exploring every nuance of her life, creating and expressing from a place of emotion. She believes in the healing power of the art process as well as the visual aspect and is committed to supporting this power in individuals around the world.
